
While "Tossed Flowers" is not the first surface pattern I made it the first that feels complete, and special at this time.
My first "draft" of this pattern was made in illustrator, the pattern was lacking interest in the background. I decided to use a background made with actual art supplies, the pink one pastels and the others watercolor. I then scanned, and tiled the background, exported my illustrator file as a high-res image, and used it as the foreground.
Hint: the second step: tiling seems to be easier in the open-source Gimp program than in Photoshop.
I liked how the pink turned out I then made some more!
The navy is my favorite, I'm not quite ready to launch a Spoonflower store, yet. (Still trying to figure out the boring freelancing part out. But I'm seriously consider ordering a few yards of the blue for myself!
